New to Good Shepherd Owatonna? Thinking of joining us for worship? Here’s an idea of what to expect:

How do people dress?

Whatever is comfortable for you. No ties required. Come as you are.

What are the worship services like?

All worship at Good Shepherd is centered in God’s Word and his transforming love in Jesus Christ. Worship services last about an hour and include music, scripture reading, prayers, and a brief sermon.
8:00 worship has its origins in traditional Lutheran worship. Music is mainly hymns led by the organ, enhanced at times with piano, choir, or a small ensemble.
9:15 worship is at the same time as Sunday School and Sunday morning Bible class during the school year. Music is led by our Worsip Leader, Kaisha, with guitar, drums, and other instruments.
10:30 worship has the same format as 9:15 worship, and also includes a children’s message.

What’s available for my children?

We welcome children in worship! We also have a staffed nursery, Sunday school programs, youth Bible studies, and more. Feel free to contact Cori, our Youth and Children’s Minister.
