Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As I matured in my faith, I quickly fell in love with worshiping God through music. About five years ago during youth ministry, the Holy Spirit planted a desire in my heart to lead people in worship. I was greatly inspired by how free the youth praise team was in glorifying God. I knew I wanted to take part in that leadership. It was shortly after I joined the team that God told me he wanted me to be a leader.
I rejoice and give thanks to Him every day for this calling. He has truly given me the desires of my heart. While it is such a joy in itself, there are many enlightenments that follow. One of which I think is the greatest of all is sharing meaningful moments with Christ’s church. Worship is a unifying experience; it’s the eternal praise by God’s children in heaven! It’s a privilege to practice that.
Outside of worship, I thoroughly enjoy basking in nature, going for walks with my honey or riding my longboard into the sunset. I also love a good book partnered with a cup of tea and a comfy sofa in times of solitude. At any time of day, I will wind down with a cup of coffee (yes) with friends or family paired with a conversation over any riveting topic leading into deep-minded trails. Finally, but not lastly, I will pick up the guitar and indulge in open-mindedness as inspiration finds me and I record melodies. I give it all to God because He gave it all. Acts 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
