I have been at Good Shepherd for 6 years, and the favorite part of my job is longevity in relationships. I get to know children and youth when they are in elementary school, hang out with them in youth group, and then go on mission trips with them. I say “I teach them,” but more often, it is the other way around. I love the volunteers I get to work with, and seeing the way the Holy Spirit works through the relationships between youth and adults, and youth and each other blows me away. My favorite BIble verse is Psalm 121, especially verses 5 & 6: “The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.” I am married to my bearded best friend Luke for 5 years, and we have a (not bearded) daughter, Destin, and a (all over bearded) golden retriever, Bennett. Growing up in San Diego, you can tell I am in the building when you hear the sound of my flip flops. I graduated with a Psychology degree and Director of Christian Education certification, with emphases in Youth & Family Ministry from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, in 2009.
