Welcome to the Luke 2:52 Summer!

“And Jesus kept on growing– in wisdom, in strength, in favor with God, and in favor with all the people.”

The Summer Growth Plan will officially start the week of June 7 and run through mid-August. Children may join our journey anytime during the summer. This program is geared towards children ages 6-12, but can be used by younger children with the help of a parent or older children as well.

We are looking forward to a summer of fun memories and exciting growth! Grow like Jesus Summer Growth Plan gives children a clear path for improving in every area of their lives: body, mind, heart and faith.

This summer, your child will regularly be in God’s Word, grow in gratitude, take are of their teeth, drink plenty of water, spread kindness, stretch their memory, and grow closer to you, their parents. They will develop new habits and become the best versions of themselves.

Here’s how it works:

  • Look through the book at all the challenges. Choose a challenge or two that looks fun and challenging, and then start working on it, keeping track of your progress as you go. *We encourage a parent to help them choose at least one challenge from each category of growth throughout the summer. If they do this, they will complete at least 4 challenges.

  • Once you complete a challenge, fill out the corresponding card and return it to the children’s ministry table at church where it will be recorded on your personal goal poster. This poster will be displayed in the gathering area for your, your family, and your church family to watch you grow through the summer. We will encourage and celebrate with you along the way!

  • At the end of the summer, we will celebrate with you and your family in a special, unique and memorable way!

The idea is not to complete all eight challenges (even though it is possible). The idea is to help children take responsibility for their growth and make it fun for them. This is also not a race or competition. It is simply a road map for kids to start living better, fuller, more intentional God-glorifying lives.

Blessings on your FAITHtastic Summer!
