DESCRIPTION:5:30PM Meal: Pulled Pork served by the Quilters and the Mission Trip Team \n6:30PM Advent Hymn Service \nWe decorate in preparation for Christmas. Our decoration preparation includes the use of the crèche—the miniature model of the nativity scene. The crèche is a distinctively Christian decoration in that it depicts the characters involved in the nativity of Christ: Mary\, Joseph\, the shepherds\, the Wise Men\, the angels\, the stable animals\, and—most important of all—the infant Jesus. As we view this manger scene\, we recall the timeless story of God coming to earth as a baby to redeem us from our sins.

This one-day store serves identified local families\, allowing them the joy of purchasing new\, discounted gifts for their children. While the parents are shopping\, the children enjoy crafts and playtime in provided childcare. Afterwards the children will return to their parents with refreshments for all. \nThere are several ways you can help! \n\nDONATE! Drop off new\, unwrapped toys and gifts for children age 0-18 in the Gathering Area at Good Shepherd through Wednesday\, December 10. Pick up a list of gift ideas at the Welcome Center or the Go Gather Give display in the Gathering Area. DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, December 7 at 11:00AM\nNativity Stones is a hands-on activity for families during Advent\, helping you engage with the story of Jesus’ birth in a fun and creative way. \nFamilies will paint 8 stones together: Mary\, Joseph\, Jesus\, Animals\, Angel\, Shepherd\, Wise Men\, and Star. Each stone corresponds to a card that contain a simple\, kid-friendly devotion and Bible verses\, along with a graphic that families will use as inspiration to paint onto a stone. \nStones and paint will be provided. We will have lunch and Christmas music playing as we join in on together this fun activity together! \nYou will take home with you the stones you painted and the 8 devotion cards to use during the following weeks leading up to Christmas. \nREGISTER HERE
